Wallingford is an intimate gated community of 15 homes located in the Beverly Hills Post Office. The neighborhood is situated off of Benedict Canyon Drive, just south of the terminus of Benedict at Mulholland. The community is identifiable by entry gates and monumentation fronting Benedict Canyon. In addition to the unmanned gates, the HOA maintains two community tennis courts.
Homes in Wallingford were built in either 1972 or 1977, with two exceptions that bookend the community. One 1940s residence with a Benedict Canyon address anchors the north end of Wallingford Drive. This home predated the planned development but now sits behind the Wallingford gates. At the southern end of the Drive, a lavish estate built in 2000 sits on over 5 acres and significantly exceeds the size and price ceilings noted below.
All lots in Wallingford are situated along a low lying ridgeline. Most homes boast unobstructed views of the surrounding canyons, while taller ridges beyond provide a sense of seclusion from the big city. Twelve of the fifteen homes have swimming pools and many have been remodeled since the 1970s.
